About Me
Architecting systems that banks, courts, and citizens rely on.
I've been writing code since I was 10 — built my first videogame in primary school, then chased the rabbit hole from C++ and Java into full-stack web, mobile, and cloud. Shipping production systems professionally since 2018.
Today I'm Analyst Developer & Applications Architect at Telered, Panama. I design cloud-native systems on AWS — Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS, API Gateway — and lead legacy-to-cloud migrations under PCI DSS constraints. Most recently: architecting a credit-card tokenization system bridging AWS with on-premise BankCore servers over Fortinet tunnels.
Before Telered, 3 years at the Supreme Court of Justice of Panama shipping Laravel, React and Java systems used daily by courts and citizens — including an electronic signature platform and an end-to-end HR system.

Career Journey
Experience & Milestones
A timeline of my professional growth, key achievements, and the experiences that shaped me as an engineer.
Analyst Developer & Applications Architect
Telered, Panama
Designing cloud-native architectures on AWS (EC2, ECS, ELB, RDS, S3, Route 53, Lambda). Leading legacy-to-cloud migrations, architecting credit-card tokenization on AWS + BankCore under PCI DSS constraints.
AWS Cloud Solutions Architect Specialization
Amazon Web Services
Completed the AWS Cloud Solutions Architect + AWS Fundamentals specializations, plus Architecting Solutions, Building Data Lakes, Migrating to the Cloud, and Containers & Kubernetes Essentials.
Electronic Signature System (PKCS#11)
Supreme Court of Justice of Panama
Shipped a Java-based browser-signing platform using hardware smart-card cryptography (PKCS#11), bringing legally-valid digital signatures to Court workflows.
Full Stack Engineer
Supreme Court of Justice of Panama
3 years shipping Laravel, React, PHP, Java, jQuery and Bootstrap systems used daily by courts and citizens — SIGERH (HR self-service), CACJ (judicial career concurso), Sistema de Vacantes, and the electronic signature platform.
Chatbot Engineer
SmartBot LA, Panama
Built conversational flows integrating chatbots with client back-office systems and databases for online purchasing and customer support.
B.S. Software Development
Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá
Graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Software Development (2016–2021).
System Engineer
CAF — Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina
Monitored mission-critical servers, patched OS / apps / firmware, and deployed virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware ESXi, Citrix XenServer). Cut troubleshooting time 15% and improved system reliability 20%.
First line of code
Self-taught
Built my first videogame in primary school at age 10. Been chasing the rabbit hole — C++, Java, web, mobile, cloud — ever since.
What I Do
Where I'm Useful
Cloud Architecture
AWS-native systems designed to scale horizontally, fail gracefully, and stay under budget. EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, IAM — composed into architectures that hold up in production.
System Design
Translating business requirements into architecture diagrams, ADRs, and technical specs that engineering teams can actually ship. Distributed systems, microservices, and serverless when it fits.
DevOps & CI/CD
Pipelines that deploy without prayer. GitLab CI, Docker, infrastructure as code, automated tests, and zero-downtime releases for systems that can't afford to blink.
Full-Stack Modernization
Migrating legacy PHP/Laravel and Java systems to cloud-native architectures without breaking production. Strangler-fig refactors over big-bang rewrites — every time.
Technical Leadership
Defining technical direction, reviewing architectures, and giving teams the structure they need to move fast without breaking things. Decisions documented, trade-offs explicit.
Architecture Consulting
Honest reviews of existing systems — bottlenecks, risks, and modernization roadmaps. Assessments grounded in code, infrastructure, and team reality. No sales pitch.

How I Work
My Engineering Process
Discover
Understanding the system, the constraints, and the people. Reading existing code, mapping data flows, talking to the team. No assumptions, no shortcuts.
Design
Architecture diagrams, ADRs, sequence flows, and trade-off docs. Decisions captured before code is written — so the team can defend them three months later.
Ship
Iterative delivery with CI/CD, tests, and observability baked in from day one. Small commits, frequent deploys, no surprises in production.
Operate
Runbooks, dashboards, alerts, and knowledge transfer. The system isn't done when it ships — it's done when the team can run it without me.
Credentials
Certifications
Industry-recognized certifications validating expertise in cloud architecture, DevOps, and infrastructure — plus the tracks I'm currently working through.
